As we finish out the school year, we need to do a "quick" recap on ALL the things Cambria County Clothing Boutique has accomplished this school year!
-To start, we added Conemaugh Valley Elementary school to our growing list of school based clothing closets programs we have built. CVES serves students grades PreK3 thru 6th with an approx. enrollment of 380 students.
-CCCB "engaged" parents during 4 parent engagement nights, distributing clothing and hygiene items to families who attended these incredible school based events. We distributed over 2,000 clothing and hygiene items during theses events!

-We hosting several "community" clothing sorts at our building, 705 Chestnut Street in Historic Cambria City section of Johnstown. We had OVER 50 *NEW* volunteers step through our doors to help sort and organize our clothing, shoe, and hygiene donations! Without our volunteers, we simply couldn't continue our mission of providing school based clothing closets clean, seasonally appropriate, school appropriate clothing, shoes, and hygiene items!!!
Look at these hard workers sorting and organizing donations!
-Our incredible community continues to come together to help our neighbors! We have THE BEST sense of community, dare I say in the state of Pennsylvania!! We have thousands of clothing, shoes, and hygiene donations at Cambria County Clothing Boutique this school year.
Pictured: (Left and Middle) St. Benedict's Parrish and Youth Group members hosted a Lenten service project. They collected clothing, shoes, and hygiene items for CCCB, as well as monetary donations to purchase items that we do not receive through donations. (Right) Scalp Level Trinity Church donated RACKS of winter coats of all sizes and 3 totes of new winter hats, gloves, and scarfs.
We hosted our first ever "Upcycle" event at the Boutique! The Distressed Denim Workshop breathed new life into old clothing. Marsha Chaney showcased all the tips, tricks, and hacks, in a 2 hour class to give old denim a mantra "look good, feel good, do good " that fashion instills in all of us.
And as we conclude our recap, here is how we stand by the numbers,
Top items distributed to school based clothing closets:
Pants: 1,363
Shirts (long and short sleeve): 1,500
Underwear: 1,261
Pair of Socks: 1,446

Pair of Shoes: 215

bars of Soap/ bottles of bodywash: 541

Pads/Tampons: 1,069
toothbrushes: 283

Our OVERALL items distributed to school based clothing closets are: 10,196!!!!!
And believe it our not, that is not our TOTAL OUTPUT FOR THE SCHOOL YEAR! If we add our parent Engagement numbers, clothing support to JHS Park Avenue Business Closet and "Silent Giving" Community referrals, our total amount of items distributed for the 25/26 school year is well over 13,000 items!!!
